Zermatt, at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn, is a world without cars. Electric-vehicles and horse-drawn sleighs and carriages are the only transport allowed.

It has a southern wind-protected location embracing three ski areas with superb conditions for snow sports conditions and the longest skiing season in the Alps. Spring and Summer skiing is possible on the everlasting glacial snow at the foot of the Matterhorn at altitudes between 2900 m and 3900 m.

There are 21 km of well-marked and safe runs, among them a downhill run of 7 km with a 999m difference in altitude.
