Ski and Snowboard in Switzerland
The winter camps at Les Elfes will offer your child the perfect opportunity to mix the “useful to the enjoyable” by practicing sports, learning languages and discovering Switzerland and its neighboring countries with cultural excursions.

Sports:
During the winter camps, the children will receive 6 hours of ski or snowboard lessons daily from 9am until 12.00 and then from 1.00pm until 4.00pm and will be taught by our professional ski and snowboard instructors.
From the very beginners who have never seen snow before to the advanced ones who want improve their skills on the snow, Les Elfes’ will provide lessons for students of all levels
On top of the regular ski/snowboard lessons, multiple other snow and non snow sports can be experienced during the stay at the camp during the after ski activities.
The campers will have the possibility to discover and practice a wide range of sports such as Sledging, torchlight walking, ice climbing, figure ice skating and ice hockey as well as swimming and playing squash.
All these activities are fully supervised by Les Elfes’ trained staff.

Daily Schedule:
A typical day at les Elfes will happen as follow, with an early rise at 7.30am with a large breakfast until 9.00am when everybody will leave to the slopes with their instructors and shuttled with our private mini buses.
From 9.00-12.00 the students will be on the slopes in order to get their ski lessons and discover and practice new exercises.
From 12.00-1.00pm, a hot lunch will be served in our private mountain restaurants where the skiers will get warmer and enjoy freshly cooked food.
From 1.00pm to 4.00pm, the campers will practice what they have learnt in the morning and enjoy the skiing with their instructors.
At 4.00pm, everybody will come back to the camp, enjoy a nice snack and relax until 5.00pm, when they will be signing up for the after ski activities that will be supervised by our animation staff. These activities will be indoor games, swimming, outdoor games, visiting the town of Verbier, going ice skating and many more.
At 7.00pm, a nice and fresh 3 courses dinner will be served.
The evening activities will take place from 8.00pm until 10.00pm with various games organized by our team, torchlight walking through the forest, ice hockey and other activities throughout the week.

Language:
As part of the winter camp and the education of the children, Les Elfes will offer 8 hours of languages per week as part of the basic programme of the winter camps. The languages taught are French, English, Spanish or German and start from the very beginner level.
Lessons will be taught by the professional teachers of the Verbier Language School.
These courses will take place instead of the “après-ski” activities and are not compulsory.
For those who want to learn even more, the Intensive Language Programme offers 15hrs of languages per week, and focus on writing and grammar.
Three hours of lessons per day from 9.00am – 12.00pm are divided into two parts, with 2hrs devoted to grammar and writing and followed by 1hr of conversation practice.
Students will receive a certificate graded and signed by their teacher and will also produce a weekly newspaper.

Excursions:
As part of the winter camp at Les Elfes, the children will have the opportunity to discover beautiful Switzerland and the main sights of Les Elfes’ beautiful country.
The campers will go discover the following cities:
- Lausanne, the Olympic capital and the Olympic museum and the old town of Ouchy.
- Geneva, the Old Town, the botanical gardens and the United Nations.
- The Swiss capital Bern, the Federal Parliament, the Bear’s den and the Old Town.
- Gruyere, home of the world wide known Swiss cheese, and visit the Cheese and chocolate factory.
- Montreux and the Château de Chillon.
- Vevey and the alimentarium.

Location, Verbier, Switzerland:
Verbier, the original home of Les Elfes, is situated in the heart of one of the most beautiful regions of the Swiss Alps. Directly opposite Le Grand Combin which rises to 4300 m, Verbier's stunning location on a south facing plateau guarantees an exceptionally sunny climate in both summer and winter.
Verbier, set in a breathtaking panorama, is one of the most famous resorts in Europe and offers the best in sporting and leisure activities all year round in a cosmopolitan and relaxed atmosphere. The domain comprises more than 450 km of skiing and 3300 meters and has more than 100 ski lifts connecting the four valleys.
The high altitude guarantees that there will be snow from December to April. Verbier also has many shops and restaurants, from the most informal to the most sophisticated.
Verbier is in the French part of Switzerland, 1 hour and 45 minutes from Geneva (a magnificent journey), 2 hours and 45 minutes from Zürich and 30 minutes from the Italian and French borders.

Accomodation:
Les Elfes’ chalets are two beautiful building built in wood and stone, following the typical Swiss tradition and offer charm and comfort to our guests.
Both chalets are situated in green, peaceful surroundings and only five minutes from the centre of
Verbier. The girls and boys are separated in each of the two chalets, which are completely equipped for holiday camps :
- Large rooms with two to four beds and all with ensuite bathrooms.
- Two spacious, sunny dining rooms with an open-planned sitting room and an open fireplace leading onto a south facing terrace with a barbecue.
- Professionally equipped kitchens staffed by our own chefs in both buildings.
- A library, games hall, cinema, music room (or discothèque) , classrooms, conference rooms and internet room.
- A permanently staffed and welcoming reception hall
