Verbier’s 450km of slopes are also available to snowboarders to enjoy, for first time on snow, we recommend to start with skiing to get a feel for the sport

Les Elfes International is lucky to have a privatized high altitude restaurant only for its campers to enjoy. Located directly on top of the mountain at 2’200m altitude, our private mountain restaurant welcomes our students for warm lunches with unbeatable views on the village of Verbier and some of Switzerland’s famous mountains (Grand Combin, Dents du Midi). During winter camp and summer camp, our kitchen Chefs will prepare warm meals for our young guests that they will be able to enjoy without having to get back to the campus.

Evening activities

Flexi -Time

After returning from their afternoon activities and enjoying a refreshing shower at around 16:30, campers have three exciting options for a 1.5 to 2-hour flexi time before dinner. They can choose to explore the charming village of Verbier, discover local shops, and admire the beautiful chalets of the resort. Alternatively, they can join our animators for fun activities like ice skating, sledging, climbing, bracelet making or swimming. For those who prefer to relax, our campus offers a games room, a cinema room, and, during summer, a trampoline for some thrilling jumps !

Zip-line

A little closer to home, in Verbier itself, our highest mountain Mt Fort stands at 3330 m above sea level. Stunning views from the top looking over to the Matterhorn in Zermatt and Mont Blanc in Chamonix, campers this year will be able to do a zip line, not for the faint-hearted and ideal for those adrenaline seekers! The Zip-Line is one of the largest in Europe, and it speeds of up to 100kmph, reached in no time at all.

Excursions

Once a week, our campers at Les Elfes International can choose from various exciting excursions to some of the area’s most renowned regions. This weekly activity allows youngsters to enhance their decision-making skills and gain independence.
Our excursion destinations include:

Zermatt: Marvel at the iconic Matterhorn.
Lausanne: Explore the Olympic Museum.
Bern: Discover Switzerland’s capital and its interactive Communication Museum.
Geneva: Visit the United Nations Headquarters and the Red Cross Museum.
Evian (France): Experience the famous water sources.
Chamonix: Tour the enchanting Ice Palace.
Aosta (Italy): Admire the impressive castle.
Vevey: Visit the Chaplin Museum.

And many more exciting destinations! At Les Elfes International, we ensure a diverse range of choices to cater to all interests, making every excursion a memorable adventure for our campers.

Language courses

To ensure we offer the best possible tuition for our winter camp students we work in partnership with Verbier Language School to offer specialist teachers in each language for every course.
Students are grouped according to their language levels with a maximum class size of 8 students per teacher. 3 types of courses, Conversationnal, Intensive and Private are available in French, English, Spanish, German, and Mandarin (Mandarin only avaiable in Summer).

Each of our courses during our summer and winter camp in Switzerland follows set criteria for levels of language proficiency with detailed certificates and a portfolio of work which students may take away with them.

Conversational Language Course In A Swiss Winter Camp Setting
During winter camp, the course consists of 6 hours per week given from 17:00 to 19:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. During summer camp, languages are given in the morning and are typically taught over 4 days from 9:00 to 10:45

Intensive Language Course
For more in depth learning, the intensive language course combines speaking with reading and writing. During winter camp, the intensive course consists of an additional 2 hours given on Fridays from 17:00 – 19:00. Summer camps’ intensive classes take place from 09:00 -12:00 totalling 12 hours per week. It is ideal for students studying for an exam or wishing to make quick, comprehensive progress in their languages in just 1 week.

Private Language Course
Our final course is for those students who wish to have one-on-one tuition. This can be added to one of our other courses or chosen alone to allow any number of hours per week. The focus is flexible, and it is a great course for students with specific learning objectives.

Optional Activities

Paragliding

Why not try the experience of a paragliding flight over the Bagnes Valley?
Suitable for children of all ages from 6 to 17 years. During about 40 minutes of flight, the students will fly over the Bagnes Valley passing from 2’200 m to 800 m.
