DAY CAMP 2024 FOR CHILDREN AGED 8 TO 17 – VERBIER, Switzerland

Have you thought about organising a holiday in Verbier and you would like your child to experience the thrill of a winter camp?

If you don’t feel ready to enrol your child in a residential camp, you might consider a day camp.

From the beginning of December until the end of April, from Sunday to Friday, Les Elfes International organize three day camp programmes of your choice: fully day (8.30-18.30), afternoon only (16.00 – 21.30) or extra long day (8.30- 21.30).

Simply accompany your children to Les Elfes International main office for drop off, and we will take care of their daily activities. 

Day campers will have the opportunity to join residential campers, coming from all around the world, and spend the entire day with them. 

We offer a variety of activities such as ski, snowboarding, torchlight walk, ice skating, swimming, board games , English, French, German or Spanish language courses, and more. Meals and ski passes are included.

Safety is our top priority! Our camps are equipped with extensive camera surveillance, a night guard, professional staff trained in first aid, an on-site nurse, three medical centres in the nearby town, and rigorous risk assessments for all activities at Les Elfes International.

Reserve 5 consecutive days, one is free

There is no minimum number of days required for registration. Students can enroll for just one day if they wish.

 

FULL DAY

 At CHF 350 per day 

  • from 8h30 to 18h30
  • Up to 6 hours of skiing/snowboarding per day with experienced ski instructors
  • Daily ski pass for the 4 Valleys
  • A hearty lunch in the exclusive private area of Les Elfes International
  • Engaging après-ski activities
  • Optional 2 hours per day of language courses available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays only
  • Optional excursion to one of Switzerland’s iconic cities (available on Wednesdays only) – Additional fee

EXTRA LONG DAY

At CHF 450 per day 

  • From 8h30 to 21h30
  • Up to 6 hours of skiing/snowboarding per day with professional ski instructors
  • Daily ski pass for the 4 Valleys
  • A satisfying lunch in the private area of Les Elfes International
  • Engaging après-ski activities
  • Optional 2 hours per day of language courses available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays only
  • Dinner served at the Les Elfes International campus in Verbier
  • Entertaining after-dinner activities.
  • Optional excursion to one of Switzerland’s iconic cities (available on Wednesdays only) – Additional fee

AFTERNOON ONLY

At CHF 299 per day

  • From 16h00 to 21h30
  • Engaging après-ski activities:

Language classes
Village visit (supervised or not)
Sport center (swimm, climb, ice skate…)
Games on campus (sledge, arts&crafts…)

  • Optional 2 hours per day of language courses available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays only
  •  Dinner served at the Les Elfes International campus in Verbier

SKIING

Verbier’s 450km of slopes are also available to snowboarders to enjoy, for first time on snow, we recommend to start with skiing to get a feel for the sport

SNOWBOARDING

Verbier’s 450km of slopes are also available to snowboarders to enjoy, for snow beginners however, we recommend skiing as it brings fewer risks of injuries

AFTERNOON BREAK

An afternoon break to stop for a hot chocolate or a snack on the slopes is what you need to give you energy for the day

LUNCH IN PRIVATE MOUNTAIN RESTAURANT

Les Elfes International is lucky to have two privatized restaurants on the slopes. Each day, our kitchen Chefs prepare warm meals for the happy campers to eat on the slope. A vegetarian option is always available

SKI RACE

to mark the end of the week and show progress achieved throughout the week, a friendly ski race is organized every Friday

BBQ

To celebrate the ski race and the end of the week, our kitchen Chefs prepare a big BBQ where all campers get to be together and share their best memories of the day

VISIT OF MT FORT

Culminating at 3300 m, the Mont Fort is a must-go destination and promises a stunning panorama of the Alps

SNOWBALL CONTEST

We organise snowball contest directly on the slopes for campers with competitive spirit

LANGUAGE LESSONS

2H of conversational language courses are organized on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Professional native-speaking teachers guarantee high quality language lessons to groups of maximum six students. We offer a choice of different language classes (FR, DE, EN, CH, ESP)

SLEDGING

Take a sledge and go slide on the hills next to the campus. Safety first, always go with your helmet

VILLAGE VISIT & SHOPPING

Stroll through the chalets and snows of the village of Verbier, enjoy hot chocolate and bring back some souvenirs for friends and parents

ROCK CLIMBING

600 m², two boulders and 60 different routes: guaranteed fun for all climbing fans!

SNOWMAN BUILDING

Enjoy the snow and get in a group to build the nicest, tallest or funniest snowman of the village

ARTS & CRAFTS

Not feeling like going outside anymore, don’t worry our team will organise some arts and crafts activities like painting or making Brazilian bracelets

INDOOR GAMES

Head to the basement of the Les Elfes Campus where day campers can enjoy a pool table and a football table

FREE TIME

Enjoy some snacks, go to the chill-out zone, play some piano, chess, board games, make a puzzle and relax with your friends

DESIGN AND BUILD

Practice your creativity, use different fabrics and material to build unique games with other campers

SWIMMING

Head to the Mondzeu pool and take a dip, even when the sun isn't shining.

BAKING

Enjoy the afternoon inside baking with your friends making some yummy cookies to eat and share with other campers

To continue sliding through the day, we offer ice skating activities and don’t worry if you’ve never done it. We’ll help you learn

PRIZE GIVING

Friday marks the end of the residential camp and with that comes the prize giving. It’s a moment to recognize the friends’ you’ve made and all the progress achieved

Please note that the excursion day take place on Wednesday only.

DAY CAMP – DAILY SCHEDULE 

  • 8:30 a.m.: Parents drop off children at Les Elfes camp main office for hot chocolate.
  • 8:45 a.m.: Children are escorted to the cable car by Les Elfes International drivers for access to ski slopes with our snowsport animators.
  • 9:00 – 12:00: Day campers join the residential campers for 3 hours of skiing.
  • 12:00 – 13:00: Lunch at Les Elfes’ private mountain restaurant.
  • 13:00 – 15:30: Additional 2h30 hours of skiing under Les Elfes staff guidance.
  • 15:30 – 16:15 Afternoon snack on campus.  
  • 16:00: Beginning of our “afternoon only program” – Drop off children at the Les Elfes International camp main office.
  • 16:45 – 18:30: Choice of different afternoon activities or optional language courses.
  • 18:30: Parents come on campus to pick up the children,  who don’t stay until the evening.
  • 18:30 – 19:30: Dinner for children staying on campus.
  • 19:30 – 21:30: Outdoor, on-campus, or sports centre activities are organized.
  • 21:30: Parents come on campus to pick up the children.

SKI  & SNOWBOARD DAY CAMP

From absolute beginners, some of whom have never seen snow, to young athletes training with their school’s ski or snowboard teams, Les Elfes Winter Day Camp is suitable for all children. Our primary goal is to foster an environment where students can improve their skills while enjoying time on the slopes, making new friends with peers from all over the world, and exchanging valuable experiences.

Our team of certified ski and snowboard guides accompanies students in small groups of 6, providing full-day guidance, mountain lunches and regular breaks.

Throughout our winter day camp programmes, we adhere to a structured progression model, which ensures students have a clear understanding of their current performance levels and areas for improvement.

WHAT TO BRING

Day campers will be accompanied to Les Elfes camps main office with the following items.

  • Ski/Snowboard + boots
  • Poles (only with skiing)
  • Helmet mandatory
  • Neck Buff/scarf
  • Sun screen SPF 30+
  • Gloves
  • Googles
  • Warm ski clothes
  • NO jeans under pants

We also suggest that they bring a backpack with a change of clothes:

  • Sneakers, snowshoes
  • Dry high-knee socks
  • Warm layer (fleece jumper, sweatpants)
  • Swimsuit & Towel
  • Pocket money in case of village visit
  • Notebook and pen for language courses

FOOD

At Les Elfes Camps, we believe that good food is an essential part of any camper’s experience.

Our varied menu ensures that children attending our winter day camp have an array of delicious options to choose from. From hot meals served in Les Elfes International private mountain restaurant to three-course evening feasts, every dish is a prepared by our chefs for young campers.

Our dedicated culinary team caters to diverse tastes, making sure campers are well-nourished and energized for their mountain adventures.

In addition to our regular meals, we provide afternoon snacks, giving campers the boost they need to make the most of their time with us.

We understand the importance of accommodating dietary preferences, which is why we offer options for vegetarian and halal diets. This ensures that every child can savor the experience, regardless of their culinary requirements.
