24th/25th June – Cabane Night

After their language lessons and once they had filled their stomachs, today all the campers have set of on their overnight adventure to the various mountain huts, each group embarking on their own unique journey through the stunning alpine landscape.

The Discoveries took a scenic trail to our Les Elfes cabane in Crans Montana.  As the sun was shining they decided to play games outside. After checking into the dorms, they had a lovely dinner they ventured off through the mountain to a nearby campfire spot to have marshmallows and a bonfire. Heading back down and then were off to bed, ready for a full day adventure tomorrow  the inflatbales at the lake and then the ropes course.

The Explorers followed a more challenging path, hiking higher into the mountains and enjoying breathtaking views as they made their way to their hut perched in Lac Taney. After arriving and having a well deserved ice cream, they played some games outside by the beautiful lake. After a hearty spaghetti bolognaise dinner they then made a campfire to enjoy some marshmallows and play more games around the lake. Off to bed in the little mountain cabane ready for their adventure tomorrow to the lake for some banana boating…

For the Adventurers, they also went to Crans Montana but had a very different experience to the Discoveries, hiking up to a remote cabane with breathtaking views in the forest. A chance for complete remote mountain hut experience with also little Wifi and a chance to get back to nature and to really bond as a team. After dinner they had a campfire and roasted some marshmellows. Tomorrow they will be heading down to the lake and having a go at swinging through the trees at the ropes course.

Meanwhile, the Pioneers ventured to a beautiful spot in Switzerland calle Payerne for their overnight camping experience. Before pitching their tents, they went for a bit of karting, challenging one another at Payerneland to see who would be the fastest. After enjoying the fast speed tracks, they headed down the road to pitch their tents and settle into their campsite. With no rain expected they will have a peaceful night under the stars. Tomorrow the Pioneers will head to the lake for some water activities and tubing.

Another beautiful sunset on cabane day, a different challenge for every group!
