As we get closer to the end of Session 2 of Les Elfes Summer Camp, the fun certainly doesn’t stop. It was another action-packed day, filled with fun, learning, and adventure.
Our Discovery group were bursting with energy and excitement as they had their sports day. The tennis courts were alive with the sound of rackets hitting balls as campers practiced and played mini-games under the guidance of experienced coaches. Over on the driving range, they worked on their swings and putts, enjoying the calm and focus the game of golf requires. They finished the afternoon on the football pitch, where teams faced off in a friendly but competitive game, showing off their passing and shooting skills. Meanwhile, other campers wrapped up the afternoon with a lively game of volleyball, diving for the ball and laughing together as they played. It was a perfect summer day full of fun, teamwork, and outdoor adventure. The Discovery group ended their day with a series of challenges and tasks as two teams went head-to-head to be crowned the winners of The Cube.
The Explorer group spent the afternoon scaling the heights of a rocky outcrop in Levron as they set out on an exciting outdoor rock climbing adventure. One by one, they began their ascent, testing their strength and courage as they carefully chose footholds and reached for the next grip. Our expert guides ensured the afternoon was not only safe but also challenging and character-building, as campers overcame fears and pushed themselves to their limits. For many, it was their first time climbing outdoors, and the sense of accomplishment was clear as they reached the top and looked out over the stunning landscape. After their amazing afternoon, the Explorer group completed the evening with the Nightline challenge—an assault course completed blindfolded, following a rope while working together as a team.
This afternoon, our Adventurer group geared up for an exciting game of outdoor Irtag, turning the campus into a thrilling battleground. Dressed in vests and carrying laser blasters, they split into teams and dashed between trees, bushes, and other places of cover, strategizing and calling out to teammates. Laughter and shouts filled the air as campers dodged “laser” fire, planned sneak attacks, and worked together to capture the opposing team’s base. The game was fast-paced and full of adrenaline, giving everyone a chance to show off their stealth and teamwork. In the evening, the Adventurer group had the opportunity to practice and audition for the end-of-session talent show, which will be held on our final evening.
Mountain biking was the activity of the day for our Pioneer group—but only after they enjoyed a mountaintop lunch with stunning views across the Alps at our very own Les Elfes mountain restaurant. The group strapped on their helmets, mounted their bikes, and set off along the mountain trail across the top of Verbier before descending the track into the resort. It was a day of challenging terrain, beautiful views, and adrenaline-fueled fun, as they finished their route back at campus with smiles beaming from ear to ear. The evening brought a much calmer activity for the Pioneer group as they took on the local mini-golf course, all hoping for that ever-elusive hole-in-one.
After such an action-packed day, all campers are now looking forward to our excursion day tomorrow, as groups travel across the area to take in local culture and explore new towns.
