Friday 20th June – Final Day of Session 1

I can’t believe that I am already writing about the last day of Summer Session 1, it has flown by and most of our campers will be on their way home to see their family tomorrow to tell them the experience they have had with us!

For the final day all the groups headed out on different adventures.

The Discoveries went to discover the Swiss Vapeur Park, a miniture version of Switzerland with trains and minuture buildings. Following on from this they headed down for a cooling yet fun time at the lake to do banana boating on the lake Geneva as well as swimming and having fun by the lake!

The Explorers ventured to the Aigle ropes course where they treid their hand at swinging through the trees, zip lining and testing their courage with heights. After this adrenaline packed morning, they then continued on to spend the afternoon at the aqua park, trying all the slides and enyjoing what the park has to offer.

The Pioneers started their day with Real Fly, the indoor simulation of skydying, having a try at balancing in the air tunnel guided by the professionals. After the adrenaline and sharing lots of funny stories, they went just down the road to Sion ropes course which is right next to the beautiful lake Les Iles so they also got some time to relax and cool off before heading back to camp.

The night ended with a great talent show. Earlier on in the session each group chose one person or group of people to represent them in the talent show and what a great viewing it was. Not only the campers performed but also the staff which was a great way to start off the prize giving for the Session 1. Following on from the laughter of the talent show, the campers then settled down to hear about each groups adventures, who will be named the star campers and of course for everyone to receive their well earned certificates from their time at Les Elfes including the beautiful memory book which has a snippet of memories from their time at Les Elfes.

Although the session has flown by, I hope that all the memories and laughter shared will be remembered and all the campers had an amazing experience at Les Elfes!
