After all the campers arrived back from their overnight cabin trips yesterday evening, they got a good rest last night and were ready and raring to go for another day of adventure!
Today, our Discovery group had lunch at our mountaintop restaurant, enjoying the fresh mountain air and stunning views across the Swiss Alps. After savoring the scenery and the food, the campers eagerly strapped on their helmets and mounted their bikes, ready for an exciting mountain biking adventure. They navigated the mountain trail with counselors riding alongside, offering tips and encouragement, before heading down the gondola and back to campus to complete their adventure.
The Explorers had an equally action-packed day as they took on a mountain course on trottinettes. These rugged mountain scooters pushed their bravery and skill to the limits as they descended from the mountaintop, through forests, over streams, and eventually into Verbier. As their course came to an end, smiles were wide, hearts were pounding, and everlasting memories were made.
Our Adventurers group kicked off their day with a fun tennis session, where they practiced their serves and volleys under the guidance of enthusiastic coaches. After a quick break, they headed to the golf driving range, where friendly competition and lots of laughter filled the air as they tried to strike the ball into the distance and chip them into targets. The group finished their day with spirited games of basketball, football, and volleyball—cheering each other on and working together as teams, concluding their Sports Day.
Our eldest group, the Pioneers, took a leap of faith as they went bridge swinging. With safety harnesses securely fastened, they took a swing in a wide arc over the sparkling river below. Their shouts of joy echoed through the gorge as they soared through the air, conquering fears and feeling the rush of adventure. Friends cheered each other on from the bridge, snapping photos and celebrating each swing. It was a moment of courage, freedom, and pure summer magic they’d never forget.
As the sun dipped behind the trees, all the campers gathered around a crackling fire outside a cozy forest hut for a much-anticipated BBQ evening. After everyone had their fill of sausages, skewers, and much more, they pulled out sticks and marshmallows, carefully roasting them over the glowing embers until they were golden and gooey. A truly perfect end to the day.
